Cannock Park Golf Club was first established as a 9 hole course in the 1980s by Cannock Council but around 1992, a new 18 hole course was designed by Ray Broome, (the Ray Broome Trophy is played for each year by club members).
The golf course is 5143 yards Par 67 course but do not take it for granted, it is not as easy to play as some people think.
Cannock Park is a parkland course with quite a few testing holes, the first one of these being the 1st hole, with a dogleg left or over the trees if you are feeling brave but beware of the large oak tree in the middle of the fairway for your second shot.
Quite a few of the greens are very undulating and have some tricky little slopes to catch you out.
Wigan Leisure have taken over the running of the golf course in 2012 and have made a lot of improvements to the course with more planned for the future.
Everyone is made welcome at Cannock Park Golf Club, there is a good Men's, Senior's, Ladies and Junior Membership (our champions of the future).
